We gather usage data when you interact with our application for research purposes. By usage data, we mean: the pages visited, the queries made to our services, and the questions asked to PriBot. This data is collected for research and analytics purposes only. We host our own analytics server on ou rpremises to gather statistics about the visitors of our website. We do not log the the full IP address (such as 18.104.22.168). Instead we configured our server to anonymise it first (to 22.214.171.124). You can opt in to share your email address with us for subscribing to our newsletter.
Our website sets cookies in order to serve you in a customized way. For example the chatbot uses a cookie
order to know whether you have chatted with it before. Its dialogue is adjusted to these cases. We also
session storage to provide you with smoother experiences. For example, we do not show you a tour of our
application if you visited the website from the same browser multiple times.
Feel free to disable or remove cookies, using the controls in your browser. You can still use our services with little to no modification.
We do not share any personal information with third parties. However, aggregated and anonymized usage data might be used in the future as part of research publications.
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. All information exchanged with this website is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Our servers are located at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland, and at the University of Wisconsin Madison, USA. We take measures in order to limit the access to these servers to authorized personnel only.
We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13). If we learn that a child under the age of thirteen (13) has provided us with personal information, we will delete it in accordance with applicable law.
